This is for Panhead John who seems to have problems heating store bought taco shells. As they say, one picture is worth a bunch o' words.

Don’t you have some goats to milk at the petting zoo or something?

Ron, does this method help keep the shells open instead of semi collapsing?

          Exactly.

Seems cheaper than placing foil balls betwext the shell.

Especially when using the microwave. Houses are expensive.

Michael_in_TX at least the house gets rewired in one fell swoop.

I doubt there’s any difference. The amount of foil used over a lifetime would be less than one roll.

Did you wet the shells? or pan? with something?

No - that was oil seeping from the shell on the left.

The correct way to heat store bought taco shells is to throw them in an incinerator and then go buy some ACTUAL DAMN TORTILLAS!

        Bunch damn gringos

You'd think that people from Texas would understand how to use tortillas.

Y’all can go ahead and laugh, but I love me some Jack in the Box tacos! Especially drizzled with a packet of their hot sauce…..

Just don’t open em up and look inside….😂

Back in the '70s, I managed several JIBs. An Indian family came in one time and wanted something vegan. The only thing I could come up with that they were satisfied with was to remove the "meat" from the tacos and fry the shells and fill 'em with lettuce and salsa. They liked them.

OK, true confessions time. I also love these things. They're radically NOT real tacos, just taco-like objects, but they are pretty damn good. Been at least a decade since I had 'em, but if I'm somewhere and it's late and options are few, I'll grab some of these without a qualm. So there.

I just hang them over the grates of my oven.

Late to the party, but those look like 2 different shells. One V shaped and one flat bottom. I can understand doing this for the V shape, but the flat bottom one? Inquiring minds….as soon as you are done milking the goats….

These were not the wide bottomed shells. V shaped I guess.

ID:	1759438 I put 3-cheese in mine tonight and popped in the oven at 300° for ten min, came out great! Filet carne asada helped too! 😁
