I'm waiting for CaptainMike to try a Brussels sprout taco.
But a well seasoned hamburger patty cut in half should make a much easier to eat taco.Last edited by RonB; February 25, 2024, 08:49 AM.

OK, here is my entry...women, children and faint o heart, avert you eyes...TOFU! And to answer it, yes, it will taco. I pressed firm tofu between two sheet pans to remove excess water, then battered it in soy sauce, lime juice, dehydrated sourdough starter, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, habanero dust, and powdered wakimi seaweed. Then I baked it at 425° until crispy. Served on a shortening free tortilla with avocado, slaw made with almond yogurt, and 7 pot primo pepper sauce.

For the record, if I was off fast, I would not make this again, lol. I hid in the closet while eating them.

So, you say you are coming out of the closet, just to admit you eat tofu?

Wow, I can't top those .... umm.... tacos. Tofu. Tacos.
Damn.
reading that list of what all he did to them, and all I could think of was, "What the hell, why would ANYONE go to THIS. MUCH. TROUBLE. to prepare and eat freaking TOFU????"
I dunno... I get it, you're on Lent (I've never really been into that kinda thing), but still. Damn.
I think God loves us and wants us to enjoy all the beautiful bounty of nature's harvest, and fellowship with our friends and family, to glorify His name and give thanks for our existence and blessings.
Not hide in the closet in shame choking down roasted bean curd.
Haha, I'm just messin' with ya man.
But...
Seriously. Not really.

Today for lunch was pickled herring and Vallagret cheese tacos. IMHO much much better than Elton's BBQ ‘s lutefisk tacos🙂

I am excited. However, it must be authentic Texas Tacos, otherwise I will talk trash about it like I do beans in chili...

WTF is authentic Texas tacos? I mean... you can CLAIM Texas has 'rights' over tacos, but... we're all just gonna make fun of you for being... well.. that. lol It's one thing to be proud of your heritage and place of residency - it's another to try to impose your (i.e., Texas') supposed 'standards' on others. You can do what you want - and so can we, meaning ridicule Texans who do those kinds of things.
