    A new technique?

    Okay, so I don't make my own tortillas, and for crispy tacos, we just generally buy the pre cooked, pre formed shells.
    A few weeks ago, during a massive heat wave, we were doing the obligatory taco night. I didn't want to turn the oven on and pre heat the entire house, so I took them out to the Weber gasser, fired up the two left side burners, and slipped the shells up on the warming rack on the right side. 6 or seven minutes later, I had perfectly crispy taco shells.
    Never again in the oven!

        Good thinking! I like to use the gas grill in place of the oven as much as possible in summer, to keep the heat out of the kitchen, and the load off the AC.

            Good idea!!! You could also hang them over two rods and have flat bottom ones like in stores.
