    I just realized

Chili with beans is chili stew.
Chili beans with meat is chili stew.

What if you add chili seasoning to pot roast? Chili stew?

Well we know one thing......Chili with beans is not chili.

I always use beans in my chili, kidney, black or pinto.
I also occasionally put ketchup on my hotdog.

You are gonna love this. I asked chat, with or without beans and this is what I got

Ah, the great chili debate. 😄

    The honest answer is:

Both are correct, depending on what tradition you’re following.

    Texas Chili (No Beans)

In traditional Texas chili, often called “chili con carne,” beans are not included.

    The focus is:
    • Beef
    • Chiles
    • Spices
    • Broth

In fact, many Texans will tell you:

“If it has beans, it’s not Texas chili.”

    Most American Home Chili (Beans)

Across much of the United States, chili commonly includes:
    • Ground beef
    • Kidney beans, pinto beans, or black beans
    • Tomatoes
    • Onions
    • Chili powder

This is what most people expect when someone says “chili” at a church supper, family gathering, or weeknight dinner.

I can go beans or no beans. But these days, no beans is the preference. If I were in Texas, I wouldn't even ask, just like if I'm in the Carolina's, I do not ask for unsweetened ice tea!

    YOU, stirring the pot again?

. Why are beans good at keeping secrets? Because they don’t want to spill the beans.

Why was the bean always so cool? It was just chilli.

Saltine Crackers belong with chili, and NOT oyster crackers!

That's a whole different poll. Saltines, Oyster or Fritos.
