    Crunchy Cheetos

In preparation for fulfilling my promise to fzxdoc that I would try a peanut butter, banana sandwich with crunchy Cheetos I bought some bananas. The wife keeps the crunchy Cheetos in small bags for the grandkids and I have peanut butter. On a whim I opened a bag of the Cheetos for a snack this afternoon. Holley cow! I haven’t had Cheetos in at least 12 years. These crunchy ones are seriously good! I looked like a 3 year old with orange on my fingers and lips but I was happy. Can you buy this powdered cheese somewhere? It would take my popcorn to the next level. This won’t be the last time I eat those even after the sandwich.

Hahaha! Your post cracks me up, Oak Smoke . Why? Because I love having those orange fingers too. There is something about scary orange food snacks that steals my comfort food heart every time.

Once you have had a peanut butter, banana, and crispy Cheetos sammie, you won't go back to PB&J. Ever.

    K.

P.S. Flamin' Hot Cheetos also qualifies as food of the gods.

It’s in the cabinet now! I was headed to the store anyway.

I keep a bottle of that in my cupboard.
I also use coconut oil to pop my corn.

Try the cheddar jalapeño Cheetos as well

and the seasoning Kathryn posted above, my wife uses that as well - a few flavors from that brand - and really enjoys the addition of it on her popcorn.

I’ll soon know. We have company coming tonight but I will try it in the next few nights. If it’s good I’ll let you know.

You could also just drop a bag of Cheetos in a processor, blend it up and then use that on your popcorn…maybe?

Be sure to remove the bag first.

This weekend Jaco asked me to heat up his mozzarella cheese sticks and roll them in crushed Cheetos. I did. It was pretty darned awesome.

This is the closest thing to actual cheetle (yes, the orange powder has a scientific name) out there.

          1/2 cup cheddar cheese powder
1 tablespoon powdered parmesan cheese in the green tube
          2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
          1 teaspoon buttermilk powder
          1 teaspoon kosher salt

Blitz it all up in a magic bullit or blender. It can be stored on the shelf in an air tight container.

Careful, stuff is basically seasoning cocaine! Find yourself in the middle of the night just sprinkling it on random stuff to eat.

Due to my ever-burgeoning case of CRS I can't recall the somewhat recent event, but I remember there were some of those flaming hot Cheetos available at the snack table. It has been decades since I had a Cheeto so I thought I'd give a handful a try. Mind - Blown! Salty, tasty, crunchy, pretty dang hot and red-finger licking good! I have promised myself to never buy a bag for personal use, I have enough vices already.

          Edit: Last Stupor Bowl!

Spend enough time in the saddle of either that atv or on a horse and you'll experience them too.

Oh no. Sorry to hear that. Hope you can find some sort of healthy substitute, although chips are rarely healthy. There's a brand called Food That Tastes Good that makes a multigrain black bean chip that's pretty good. No sugar. 16 gm carbs per ounce.

I’ve learned to think of that stuff as delicious poison. I’m okay with pretzels, limit 4. No dip.
