    So!!! Finally tonight I bought lobster cakes from the seafood stand at Festival

    I'm going to be a little long winded here because I need to set this up...
    I have been looking at these for a long time, tonight finally bought a 3 pak and brought it home.
    I thought they might be a nice compliment to my wet brine pork chop I was cooking tonight on the crapmaster 2001 which I am not happy with but that is another post...
    So, fixed up and got the pork chop going, turned on the toaster oven to infinity to brown these bad boys quick. They looked cooked, there was a little browning on the sides so I assumed it was heat and serve.No instructions on the label.
    Finished cooking the pork chop, awesome!!! I love a pork chop that you stab with a fork and it throws liquid all over the plate Took the plate out to the living room and chose first bite going to the lobster cakes.
    Massive mistake! Sorry but not sorry, these "cakes" don't even rate crappy, they are nasty.
    I've had real lobster/crab cakes on the east coast and don't ask me why Lake Havasu Arizona.... I know what they should be.
    These did not even rate disgusting, pic included, that is how far I got into them....
    The reason I'm doing this here is because I went to the Festival website to give my opinion and it turned out to be a multi layered "going to wear you out before you get satisfaction" page after page....
    Ok, rant done. I was so happy with Festival and this happened, not happy anymore but not willing to fire them. They should pull
    the cakes, makes them look bad.....

    Reminds me of when I was served "Tex-Mex" in Amsterdam.....what the heck is this....whatever it was.....is this ketchup?!

      Wait. I want know what crapmaster 2001 has done to offend you. Too bad about the lobster cakes though.

        STEbbq, It's a case of "you get what you pay for" I like the cheap little grills because they excel at hi temp searing and I'm a fan. But it seems like every time I need a new one, the quality is heading south. These cheap little grills are not intended to last a whole summer by design. The original Crapmaster lasted 2 yrs and after that the quality has gone way bad. The current one is less than 6 months and has a major issue with flame going inside the burner. Going to contact seller soon.

      All breading no lobster. Just looking at them you know their no good. Oh well.

          So many times when I hear about someone seeing something so fine then realizing it’s terrible I remember my first date in college. I met this beautiful girl in the student union one morning. She was fun, smart, and just rebellious enough to fascinate me. That Friday night we went out for a burger then were walking back toward her dorm when she turned around and kissed me. I gagged, she had dog fart breath. It was so bad all I wanted was Listerine. And so ended another promising relationship.

          I had a similar experience at a Steak House, local chain here in British Columbia. Ordered a Rib Eye with Chimichurri. The steak was great the Chimichurri was gross. When the waitress came to ask how our meals were I let her know that whatever the green sauce is, it is not Chimichurri. Never ordered that particular steak again. I don't go to our local one but was visiting my daughter and we decided to go for dinner, they live in a small community so not a lot of options.
