Cooking several different items. Crab cakes are ready to cook. Clam dip is ready. But i have never cooked scallops or swordfish. Got any tips on those? I was planning to do this indoors, but the weber is not out of the question. Crab cakes on the grill indirect should be fine. Looking for ideas indoors or out?

Favorite Beer - Bells Two Hearted
Never cooked swordfish, but love bacon wrapped scallops. I have a hard time patting them dry enough to get a crust on them though. I have better luck pan searing and dropping in the oven for a few minutes to finish than on the grill. Cedar plank is always fun to cook them on as well.
Thinking the same on seafood this weekend, just tried oyster stew unsuccessfully. Hopefully the fish curry I'm planning for tonight works out better!

I second the idea of pan-searing the scallops and then indirectly grilling them up to temp/doneness. A slight smoke flavor on them (to me) is wonderful.
