Seeasoning Sticks?

I call shenanigans! That How To video on their website had a steak with grill marks on it!! And it was cooked in a pan!
At any rate, I would be concerned about pocketed seasoning in various sections of the meat. I'd be curious to hear someone else try them though.

I've commonly harpooned a pot roast or similar large cut with a small knife. Then make the hole larger with my finger followed by stuffing it with seasoning and/or garlic. Works great and never an issue with pockets of seasoning. Thought everyone did that. Now I know otherwise. Still not going to bother with seasoning sticks/twigs.
