    White bbq sauce?

Anyone ever tried it? We'll occasionally get a white sauce pizza, which I think is just Alfredo sauce, but this sounds like something different. Mayonnaise based and supposedly very popular in northern Alabama. Supposedly it's great on chicken but has anyone tried it on beef or pork? If so, how did you like it?

Is it similar to a chicken fried steak sauce/gravy?

We like it as a pizza sauce too!

Tried and like it! Oddly, I much prefer the tested recipe here over the bottle of Big Bob Gibsons I received as a gift.

Never liked mayo, but I'm curious about this as well. Does the flavor carry through?

It doesn’t taste like mayonnaise at all. I would describe it as crisp and very falvorful.

It goes good on pulled pork. If you are accustomed to red BBQ sauce it’s takes some adjusting just like mustard BBQ sauce, but it tastes great.

I love it. Just made some this past weekend. Oddly I don’t like anything with lemon in it but love this sauce. It has a mayonnaise base but doesn’t taste like mayonnaise at all. Highly recommended.

Outstanding sauce for chicken. I am not a mayo fan but I love this stuff, we always have a bottle in the fridge.

It's easy enough to make, mix up a batch and let us know what you think

I grew up in Northern Alabama where chicken was served in only two ways: fried or "barbecued" and slathered in white sauce. The recipe here in the pit is excellent ... but just a little more acidic than I remember ... so I add a TBSP of sugar to balance it out a bit.

From Decatur, Alabama! It's mayonnaise based, how can it be bad?! It's sounds weird until you realize that a whole lot of chicken eaten in Central and South America is accompanied by mayonnaise based sauces. It's delicious!
