Kosmos Hot Dirty Bird rub variants

I got this Kosmos Hot Dirty Bird dry rub at Ace Hardware years ago and really like it. The other day I was at Publix and noticed they are now carrying it, but it looks different and tastes different, The product from Ace is darker and hotter. Looking closer one is called Hot Dirty Bird and the other is called Dirty Bird Hot. πŸ™„
    Buyer beware!

I'm losing faith in Publix. Why can't we have HEB in Florida?

Hold on there Dave, we need an HEB in Fort Worth first, then you can have one in Florida.

I've used Dirty Bird Hot and I liked it a lot. The Hot Dirty Bird I hadn't seen until now. I wonder... is this one of those "exclusive" deals where he's made variants to technically stay within contractual obligations? But if it looks and tastes different, then it IS different - I'm curious what those differences would be.

You must not follow many of my posts. I'm lucky if half the words are spelled correctly. LOL

It's been awhile since I've had some dirty bird. What's the difference? I always liked it. Is that much hotter? Goofy BBQ Rub names. Go sparingly is your recommendation.

I really like the Hot Dirty Bird, it has a nice hot kick to it. The Dirty Bird Hot lost it’s kick πŸ™„ very confused on why they named them so similar but taste so different
