I recently found out I may have an allergy to chili peppers. Anyone have a rub or marinade recipe without chili peppers, or that can leave them out without seriously altering the character. Black pepper is fine.
SPGO such as the recipe above by Duanessmokedmeats plus you can add any other spices or herbs depending on what flavors you want. Add in small proportions (such as 1/8 part or less): celery powder, coriander, thyme, etc. White pepper is a nice addition too.
Yep. Used Kinders "The Blend' on my Christmas rib roast. Was quite good. Plan old salt and coarse ground pepper was pretty good on a pork butt. I will try some of your suggestions for the SPG, thanks
