    Homemade Rub For Fish/Seafood

Any suggestions for key components of or recipes for homemade fish/seafood rubs or marinades? Salmon is our go-to, but we enjoy halibut, sea bass and others as well. I hope to avoid salt-laden commercial products.

Meathead’s Marietta’s Seafood Rub is AWESOME.
I won’t use anything else on my smoked seafood.
    Right here on AR recipes!

A blinding flash of the obvious but the first I've heard of it despite using many of his others. Thanks!

Henrik posted a link to his rubs. The seafood one is excellent, and since he doesn't ship to the US anymore, he graced us with his recipes.

We enjoy a bit of Cajun flair and find Tone's Cajun Seasoning from Sam's Club fits the bill. It is very low in sodium (wife has water issues) and we use it liberally on many things. I will mix some with some avocado oil to a consistency of a light pancake batter and use it blacken many types of fish. I sear the fish on a 400-425 griddle and finish the fish in the a 280 degree oven if necessary.
