I of course love smoked meats of all kinds, but also like quick cooks like chicken portions, pork tenderloins, steak and fish. Really into cooking of all kinds.
My outdoor kitchen has a Lone Star Grillz Adjustable and it is wonderful. There also is a Pit Boss 5 Burner Ultimate Griddle and a Pit Boss Copperhead pellet grill.
There is an outdoor fire pit that has grilling capability and limited Santa Maria-style grill raising and lowering.
Interesting New Offering from Lodge: Lodge Sear Blends
Today's marketing email from Lodge caught my eye as something that's very likely worth trying. Lodge Sear Blends are seasonings meant to be applied to meat just prior to searing. As Lodge describes it: "Made for high-heat cast iron cooking, without the scorch. Make peace with the smoke detector."
I know I've kicked myself many times in the past when searing meat that has a high sugar content rub on it and getting the bitter, burnt outcome that was preordained. Here's a screencap of the variety pack with all four of their blends:
At $27 for four bottles, it's kind of pricey, but the flavor combos are very inviting. I'm headed over there now to buy some.
