What is Your Awesome Beef Kabob Marinade?

Doing kabobs tomorrow night, beef and chicken. Will be using jfmorris Chicken Shawarma and Kabob Marinade for the chicken. I'm seeking suggestiongs for a marinade for the beef. Any suggestions on what is awesome on beef kabobs? Thanks!

Good Seasons Italian Dressing, made with balsamic vinegar instead of white….. I’ve tried many marinades over the years and I always come back to this.

Do you salt the meat before putting it in the marinade?

bep35 Lawry’s garlic salt is my preferred salt for kabobs, but what I do is put my cubes of beef in a ziploc bag and pour the marinade in with it, along with the salt and pepper. [or your preferred spices] I don’t measure the spices, just eyeball it. It doesn’t need more than an hour to marinate..IMO.

I don’t marinate beef all that often. But when I do marinate beef kabobs, I use a teriyaki sauce.

Here's my marinade for beef, (and chicken):

      3 oz teriyaki sauce
      1 tbs lite soy sauce
3/4 tbs black bean sauce, (I also use one that has garlic in it - easier to find)
1/2 tbs chili bean paste (amount to suit your tolerance for heat. this works for my wife - I would like a bit more)

This amount should be enough for a little more than 1 lb of meat.

Any BBQ sauce and Italian Dressing. Causes people who don't eat sheep....to eat sheep.

We do 1/2 cup Sweet Baby Rays 1/2 cup Wishbone Italian and a 1/2 cup Coke as a steak tip marinade

I assume that would be bottled Italian dressing and not the packet you make yourself?

I dunno… I almost think that marinade recipe I use for chicken could be good on beef too, but maybe it needs more garlic and pepper for beef? Now I gotta try it myself and report back.
