    Current favorite brisket injection

I was in Costco today and they had Prime briskets for $3.99/lb. I'm not familiar with the "normal" price but that seemed like a deal to me. A 15lb prime brisket for $60 was just too good to turn down, given today’s meat prices. So I picked out one with the thickest tip I could find (without disturbing the whole display). In the past, I've had good luck with Butcher BBW Original Brisket Injection. Anyone have any other recommendations?

That is still a good deal if you ask me, I'm surprised they haven't gone up more with recent increases. When Prime brisket is cheaper than ground beef things are ok. For the injection I cannot help, not my thing.

I used that injection, and it was fine. The last couple, I didn’t use any injection. They were excellent.

Honestly, I think a dry brine is more important than injection. I've used most out there! Can't dry brine at a contest.

I inject brisket with beef broth.
          No need to over complicate.

I used Meathead's beef brine on my last brisket, and thought it helped significantly. I'd previously cooked bought several (uninjected) briskets from the same butcher, and this one was by far the most moist and tender. https://amazingribs.com/tested-recip...r-deep/#recipe

Same but I use home made stock from the drippings of the last brisket instead of broth, and I add bbq phosphates

I don't inject anything anymore and it comes out great. Prime cut is the only way to go on brisket. Going to make our 120 mile one way journey to Costco next week, hopefully i can find a prime brisket.

Long trip to make and come back disappointed when they don't have what you are looking for, but I'll survive..

Yeah, that would suck. My brother lives on the NC Outer Banks and the closest Costco to him is 90 minutes away in Norfolk VA. He takes his Yeti cooler on that trip and makes it worthwhile.

Same here, 3 coolers and hope for the best.
