    Side suggestions with lamb lollipops

Looking for some suggestions with lamb that I will be cooking for dinner tonight. Any thoughts?

Potatoes! Get some red skin or other small potato variety. Cut them in half. Toss them in Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Season them with Meathead's Simon & Garfunkel Rub. (This herb blend is dynamite!!) Alternatively, season with garlic salt, lemon pepper, and oregano. Put em on the grill over direct Medium High heat for about 20 minutes turning every 5 minutes.

If you have time, you could also try Meathead's recipe for Great Greek Potatoes. Very authentic side for Lamb.

The potatoes you mentioned first is what I normally do for any dinner. Very good. Meathead's greek potatoes sound delicious so I think we are going to try those tonight. Thanks!

Grilled potatoes are my "go to" side dish also. I serve them with virtually everything. And add a salad or vegetable.

Garlic mashed taters. Asparagus on the barbie. Nice salad. Good red wine.

That was what came to mind when I read the question!

Another GREAT side dish for Lamb is a simple, authentic Greek Salad. The most basic is just Tomato, Onion, Kalamata Olives, and Feta Cheese with Extra Virgin Olive oil drizzled on top. It's also common to see Green Pepper and or Cucumber. Make sure to get good Feta. (Not made from Cow's Milk) Don't spare the Olive Oil. Season with Salt and Oregano. But whatever you do....DO NOT add lettuce. The Greeks NEVER put lettuce in a salad. Except in "Greek Town" USA.....LOL

I personally LOVE a good, fresh Greek Salad. And it pairs very nicely with a wide variety of smoked and grilled meats. But with Lamb it is a must. Cheers!!

Yup! Goes perfect with Lamb and Taters...We like ours thick, not runny!
