I personally never have and I don't recall ever having any in the cupboard so I doubt the wife has ever used it in anything either. I'm sure I've consumed some at restaurants or pot lucks without any ill effects.

I know some folks who love using it, but then they don't have smokers. Apparently it's made from real smoke particles trapped in a condensate from burning wood. It's sometimes the only way to get a smokey flavor into a crock pot in the middle of winter.
