Preorder Fyr Sauce - New project from a friend of mine

A friend of mine is working with a few other people on a new project I wanted to share: Fyr Hot Sauce. Looks like some interesting flavor combos that could be a bit different than regular hot sauce.

For the next couple days they are offering 3 bottles plus free shipping on their pre-order special for $29.99. I placed my order and I am looking forward to trying them. I haven't tasted them and can't vouch for the sauces themselves but I can vouch for the people behind them.

Not much into hot sauces anymore since living in New Mexico.
I go straight to the source and put green chilies on most everything I would have put hot sauce on.

I have never been a huge hot sauce guy. Franks Red Hot was about the extent of my hot sauce collection. But over the past couple years I have been enjoying some of them more and more and my heat tolerance has gone up as well. But hot for the sake of hot doesn't float my boat. I want some good flavor to go with it.

I like the combos. Am going to keep this on my radar, I hate raisins so will pass on buying that, but will be interested in trying the other two once available separately. I really appreciate the heat scoring on the label, I'm not a "set you on fire" person, I like the flavor mix, and the red and black look very interesting to me. Good luck to your friend!

I got my sauces a while ago, maybe 1-2 months ago? I love 'em!

They are very thin consistency, and they have a rather tiny opening in the cap unlike many hot sauce bottles. kinda like a glue bottle tip. I like this a lot so you can't overdo it when pouring. The sauces aren't melt-your-face hot, they kick but they're tolerable and they are very flavorful. I'm still learning which is best on what, but they're very good.

Out of the three sauces I think I like the black the best. Nice hit of citrus and garlic and there is some heat but nothing that will make you scream by any means.

The Red was kind of similar to Frank's Red Hot but the blood orange brings a bit of sweetness to it as well. Very delicious.

And the Gold is the most interesting flavor and the hottest of the three. Probably my least favorite of the bunch but still very good.

I need to use these a bit more on different things to see where I like them. The black has been great on a variety of meats, tacos, nachos, etc. I want to use the Gold on something with a bit of middle east warm flavors. Maybe some gyros? Kebabs?
