Better Get It While You Can… MUSTARD!

Apparently, there's a mustard seed shortage in Canada and France, according to The Weather Channel:

Extreme weather in Canada and France have affected the mustard seed crop in recent years. - Videos from The Weather Channel | weather.com

I dunno a Youtuber called Mike Michell planted mustard seed on his channel.
He's farming in Saskatchewan, can't remember exactly how much, 3 or 4 sections so around 2400 acres.
I think he said there's 640 acres in a section, correct me if I'm wrong.

When we lived in Saskatchewan there were a lot of mustard seed farmers and the same next door in Alberta. Same thing in North Dakota. Didn’t bother following the link but I think we are safe.
And yes, a section is 640 acres.

Depending on where you live, it's not too late to grow and make your own. Too late in the year for me, but I might give it a shot next year.

Weird Jewel groceries recently ran a sale with of their house branded mustards, all varieties for 50-cents. Bought entirely too much I thought, guess it was a smart move.

I do like yellow mustard on hot dogs, but Boetje's is my all time favorite. It's made in my hometown, so I thought I was always a little bit biased until I visited the National Mustard Museum in Middleton, WI. They had thousands of mustards from all over the world there. Mustard heaven! Anyway, I saw a jar of Boetje's on a shelf and took it up to the proprietor and asked him what he thought of Boetje's, and he said it is in the top 2 or 3 best stone ground mustards in the world. It is sold online, so if you like stone ground mustard, give it a shot. Full disclosure: I do not, nor do I know anyone that works for Boetje's.

I wonder how much the mustard industry paid The Weather Channel to run that story?🫤
