I can't remember the last time I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I do remember that it was good and I wanted to have it again but that was over a year or two ago. Growing up, I loved crunchy peanut butter and either grape or strawberry jelly sandwiches. I also ate peanut butter and brown sugar sandwiches. Peanut butter on warm toast was also good.

My wife calls me "Teddy" and I call her "Princess" and that's where "mrteddyprincess" comes from.
My grandma, Grace, grew up in The Depression era, and she always put a layer of butter down on the bread before she added peanut butter and jelly. Her PB&Js were the absolute best! I think she added that for calories to the sandwich. It worked. I still fix my PB&Js that way.

My grandma did the same thing. Same era. Tough to beat a PB&J.

Spinaker last night after I typed that response, I went into the kitchen, cut two pieces of homemade whole-wheat bread, and made myself an authentic PB&J for a late night snack...

Few foods bring back those wonderful childhood memories like a good old fashioned Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich 🥪!!
I love an over stuffed PB & J with butter. Creamy peanut butter overflowing on the sides, grape jelly also over flowing and at least 1/2 tablespoon of butter. Yeah….There is a reason I got to be 450 lbs at one time. I like to eat the good stuff.
I will add……Few things in this world are better than creamy peanut butter.

I’m with Spinaker on the overflowing pb&j! I like my bread lightly toasted with chunky jiff and grape jelly! And…you can’t eat it by hand…have to use a fork or you’ll have a mess all over you!
