    Heinz introduces pickle-flavored ketchup

I recently tried Frank's dill pickle flavored hot sauce and my family loves it. I'm definitely in for this one!

Ketchup and pickles have been a natural combination on a hamburger and hot dogs for decades. Now, thanks to Heinz, the two flavors have been combined into one condiment.

I'd probably like that. Their Heinz Simply is definitely a notch above any other ketchup I've tried. Not as sweet and you can taste tomatoes and vinegar.

I'll have to look for this. That said, I bought two bottles of that Frank's online last year, but have yet to actually see it for sale in a local store. I went through that pretty quickly just by myself - those were small bottles for my level of hot sauce usage!

Yeah I keep watching for the large bottle to hit the shelves. It's awesome in a can of tuna or canned chicken for quick sandwich.

Huskee I don't think they've made a larger size. Online all I still see is the 2 pack of 5 oz bottles... I would buy a gallon jug of this stuff if I could! I used to buy the regular Frank's in gallon or half gallon jugs at Sam's before they stopped carrying it in that size.

      So relish-flavored ketchup?

No, relish is diced pickles, this tastes like whole pickles.

Not a pickle eater because of the high salt content but I would give this a try. Not sure if I would like it because I don't have a taste for pickles but I'll try.

I guess I’m not in the marketing demographic because I wonder why not just put some pickles on beside the ketchup? 🤔

          That’s what I was thinking.

Right, but for the folks who don't have pickles, or ran out but forgot they ran out, or don't want the mess of relish on their brat, well, here's a solution for those who like this solution.

I understand but if you decide to buy pickles you won’t have a place to put your pickles because the space will be taken up by this ketchup. And, do I still need the other bottle of ketchup for things like french fries? And now where does the mustard and mayonnaise jars go now? It is a vicious circle.🙂

I would try it because I like pickles better than ketchup.

I dunno...I like pickle chips on my burgers. Pickle relish is a no-no for me on dogs or burgers. The texture of the pickle chips is key. I'll probably try this pickle flavored catsup, but I'm not optimistic about a second purchase.

I'll wait to try it at someone's house.

Wonder if it has HFCS as a main ingredient. Then again I don’t give a rip about cat soup. I have a bottle that has been in my fridge for over 3 years.

I’ve been buying some Hunts cat soup that is made with cane sugar instead of HFCS. About the only time I use it is for hamburgers or French fries, which isn’t often this time of year. It makes a good bbq sauce base….

We use Heinz Simply. Ingredients: tomato concentrate from red ripe tomatoes, distilled vinegar, cane sugar, salt, onion powder, spice, natural flavoring.

That last one is a little sus, but no HFCS or artificial sweeteners. I’m not a ketchup guy, but this one is t too bad because it’s not as sweet.
