Anyone Tried This Hot Sauce Yet?

I just ran across this hot sauce from Tony Chachere’s while online. I’ve never seen it in my local stores, so I was wondering if this is new, or maybe I just overlooked it? One of my favorite all around seasonings is Tony’s Creole seasoning, so I was thinking about ordering some of this…..after taking a look a closer look in my local Kroger/H‑E‑B/Walmart. One of my favorite hot sauces is Tabasco Brand. Have any of y’all tried this yet? If so what did you think?

I just checked online at my local stores and none of them show it on their website.

Not yet but I bet it is really good.

I'm working on my own batch of hot sauce right now. Fermented for a month or so, aged in vinegar, and just pureed it today. Its pretty hot (maybe twice what Tabasco is) but not overwhelming. I'll wait another few weeks then strain and bottle it:

I guess this isn’t available in stores, so I just ordered some Tony’s hot sauce on their website, shipping was gonna be $8.00 for a $2.50 bottle, so I went ahead and ordered some more of their products. Anyway, since we’re on the condiments thread I thought I’d share my current favorite salsa. It’s called Kylito’s Salsa and I’ve been buying the “Hot” version. It has a very good flavor and the heat level is just right for me, spicy enough to taste the heat, but not too hot that it distracts from the flavor. Highly recommended! I don’t know if it’s just a regional or Texas thang, but it’s worth seeking out if you can find it. I know that Walmart and H‑E‑B sell it here in Texas. It’s made in Lubbock.

I like Frank's too, but my trip to NC for the May Meat Up made me a fan of Texas Pete!

Frank’s is the gold standard in our house also. We love it on wings, macaroni and cheese, scrambled eggs, day old pizza and mixed in with ketchup for fries just to name a few things.

Hell, here’s something else that’s really good. Best mustard I’ve ever had, highly recommended. The little brown chunks you see are mustard seeds. They’re not hard at all, but add a kick!

I love the Zatarain's brand products, but I only know them as a boxed rice company. That mustard looks like a dijon I got about a year ago. It was a white dijon and I only found it once. I think it was Grey Poupon. Best mustard I ever tasted, and then when I went back to buy it again, it wasn't there.

Best mustard, pairs nicely with Conecuh sausage and an ice cold beer

Which one’s your favorite, flavor wise? Might need to pick some up.

          Scorpion for general use.
          Taco reaper for...well tacos
7 pot primo for anything I'd use salsa Verde on
          Sweet chili ghost for Asian
Not a fan of the habanero peach
Reaper is good for general use, but not as good as scorpion.

Everthing up to and including sauce #8 was delicious. At sauce 6 it started getting quite hot though.

Well, my order from Tony Chachere’s came in today. Since I would have paid $8.00 shipping for a $2.50 bottle, I went ahead and ordered more stuff. I always make my own red beans and rice, but thought I’d give theirs a try, so I got a box of that, Fish Fry Mix and some Chicken Flavored Rice. In addition to their Hot Sauce, I wanted to try their Pork Marinade and Italian Salad Dressing…[never knew they made that]. The Italian Dressing was surprisingly good! It tastes a little different than any Italian Dressing I’ve had before, in a good way! I can see myself ordering more of this later. I tasted the hot sauce [they call it pepper sauce] as well. It has a good flavor 👍 that I liked, similar to Tobasco Brand regular. I was a little surprised at the lack of heat from it though. I tasted a little of my Tobasco afterwards to compare. The Tony’s had very little, if any, heat to it but I still liked it. Tobasco has more heat. This would make a good pepper sauce for people to use, who can’t handle or don’t like spicy stuff.

I’ve got a thick cut pork chop I might grill tomorrow. If I do, I’ll use the pork marinade and report back on that. I have used their fish fry mix before and liked it as well, good stuff!
