    Should you or can you brine a self basting turkey?

    What is a 'self basting' turkey? Regardless, I would always brine. It improves flavor.

    Your call but you're more than likely going to wind up with an overly salty bird.

      ^^ Yeah I remember when I bought a pre salted Ham one time by accident.....Want to talk about upset!

        Check the ingredients panel. That should tell you if/how much salt is in the bird. If it's over 3 or 4%, I wouldn't inject. Others may have different opinions.
