This is what I use:
1/2 c orange juice
1/4 c white onion finely chopped
4 cloves garlic minced
1/2 c Soy sauce
2 T red wine vinegar
2 t go chu jang paste
2 t toasted sesame oil
1 1/4 c brown sugar
1 T green onion chopped with white part
1 1/2 T ginger minced
1/2 t dry ginger
2 T molasses
1 c each chardonnay and zinfandel wine
2 T honey
3 T corn starch and 3 T water combined
Melt butter in a pan with med high heat. Add white onion and garlic. Cook for 1-2 min
Add all other ingredients except cornstarch and water. Simmer for 5 min. Blend. Return to pan.
In a separate bowl mix water and cornstarch slurry. Bring mixture in pan back to a simmer and add slurry. Stir until mixture thickens and remove from heat.
I use this for ribs but it should translate to chicken as well.Last edited by lostclusters; May 27, 2019, 11:29 AM.
