    First Chicken w/SNS

So o had a bunch of goals left over from the Ribeye I cooked myself the other night. I will probably not reuse coals again.

I used SnS and followed everything. I had to relight 1/4 of a load to get through the cook.

I used the Simon Garfunkel Rub, definitely wondering how it is going to taste.

It was very flavorful. I paired it with grilled zucchini & baked potatoes.

My 15 year old went back for 3rds. 10 year old did seconds. so it was a hit.

I was was worried about it getting too dark.

First time i me I have ever used a thermometer for chicken.

            Nice & moist.

That would have so rocked even more had he smoked fish, perhaps maybe even trout.

Gorgeous color, indeed! Having a thermometer changes everything. I remember making stuff on the grill and saying, " I don't need a thermo!" Then once I tried the using them, everything changed.

I always use new coals to BBQ. I save my used coals to grill things like hamburgers, hotdogs, boneless chicken breasts. This works best for me.

I have always used a thermometer for brisket or a pork butt, but never for anything else.

After the ribeye, chicken breasts my wife cooked on her weber spirit, along with this spatcoocked chicken last night I am a true believer in using a thermometer.
