Chicken: with skin or without?

Hello all, good to be back.

I grill/smoke all my chicken with the skin on, I love it when the skin is just a bit brown and crispy, but what I want to know is, is chicken skin in any way bad for you? Is it just mainly fat without much nutritional value or what?

Yep, pretty much all fat. That is why is tastes so good!!

Fat, tasty, and wonderfulicious !!! Who knows how each persons body handles the things we eat, but I believe you can eat pretty much anything in moderation and not have an issue.. Just my opinion though.. Now, to decide what moderation actually is ?? Hahaha

Who knows what's healthy or not, that changes every other year with each new study. That's why we try not to get into too serious a conversation about 'healthy' here. If you likes, it, eats it!

It also helps to keep the chicken moist, you can aways take the skin off after the cook

I smoked 3 skin-on chicken quarters last night, and I can guarantee, it was good for me!

The place where I order my raw milk also offers chicken skin by the pound when they're doing boneless/skinless chicken. Haven't ordered any yet, though tempting.
