Well with a forecast of 102 with a heat index of 110, I have to cut the grass this morning. That said, I will celebrate today with chicken wings and possibly some poppers on the Weber Kettle and Vortex. Never too hot for chicken wings on the Kettle. Enjoy National Chicken Wing Day 2026!

I saw Food Lion had big bags o wings for sale yesterday.

Stopped by there within the last week and they had them on sale in family packs too, $1.99/lb. I remember at the height of inflation and the bird flu when they were running $5.99/lb. I couldn't pull the trigger on that. Love me some chicken wings.

For wing day I adapted Joe's Szechuan Drumsticks (FORK and EMBERS) to wings. Did all the prep and seasoning except skipped the oil spritz due to time. Cooked on the MB Gravity for around 45 minutes total.
These were outstanding. Highly recommend giving this recipe a try.
