Grabbed a pack of chicken drumsticks at Aldi.
not something I've cooked before.
Anyone vortex them? Looking for tips. Currently have them soaking in a brine for about an hour..
I have cooked drums but never with the vortex. It should work really well, I have only used my vortex for wings but it should work the same, but will likely take a slight amount of more time since drumsticks are thicker.
Yes sir, I’ve done vortex drumsticks before. Really not much different than doings wings except it takes a little longer…..maybe about 45 minutes or so IIRC. An hour at most.
Thanks. I put them on about 10 minutes before the wings, so should finish about the same time.
They each weigh about a half pound (10 pieces in a 5 pound package). For .99/lb, it's worth trying to see how they are..

Yes and they came out pretty good. I think these were the Jamaican Jerk recipe from the free side. Just kept checking the temps since it was the first time. I think I let them get to about 175-180?
