That was decisive! I'll be making more S&G today!

I do turkeys for a food bank/distribution center. I use my Santa Maria rub (salt, pepper, gr. garlic, parsley) and S&G. Comes out good.

But when I roast turkey for the family TG, I use a totally different recipe. Rub consists of EVOO, butter, paprika, salt and white pepper. In the roasting pan is water and chicken broth and baste periodically. Half way through the cook, I pour white wine and brandy over the turkey and continue basting until turkey is done.

Another vote for S&G here. I've tried side-by-side comparisons of various rubs, FWIW primarily on chicken ... including S&G vs. MMD. For my taste, S&G is a clear winner on birds.

I like Cavender's Greek seasoning on my turkeys.

Used to do one of each and the MMD turkey would get eaten before the S&G bird. Family mandated bbq rub & have morphed to Killer Hogs AP rub as a dry brine then under & over the skin with Killer Hogs BBQ rub.
