For the first time in many years I'm not making Thanksgiving dinner, which means no smoked turkey. Wah!

I ordered a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings from an excellent restaurant. Friends will deliver it to our door. The restauramt only offered one meal size--serves 6 to 8. It's just my husband and me this year and I don't eat much these days, so I'll freeze half of the big meal for Xmas dinner, since it will be just the two of us then as well.

It will be a lonely holiday season with a lot of Face Time sessions with our family as a stand-in for our usual large and happy gathering. However, in the early Spring when I'm well again, we plan a big family get-together. I can't wait for that!

Kathryn, I am just glad you are with us to EAT turkey this year, even if you can't smoke it yourself. Consider it a day of relaxation, rather than the usual flurry of busy activities. I hate you aren't seeing the kids today, but I am sure they will come to see you very soon.

I know each day in that neck brace goes by slowly, but the weeks will be over sooner than you think. Lifting you and your healing up in prayer.

And.... Happy Thanksgiving!
