Unlike SheilaAnn, I put canned green beans several levels better than peas. If peas are zero, beans are about 3+.
The underlying issue, however, is: If San Marzano tomatoes, canned at the peak of perfection, are great, why not peas?
We'll do canned green beans once in a while. Usually Julienne. Lots of butter, garlic, salt and pepper, then heated in a saucepan. Fresh are better, but we're usually in a rush those days.
