Belgian waffles for life!

As a long-hair, I am somewhat particular about the shampoo and conditioner I use. My local HEB carries it, but at a much higher price than my local Walmart. So two days ago I added $9.88 worth of it to an already planned online Walmart order.

I did not get my shampoo. I got this instead:



That is 32 pounds of Belgian waffle mix and 56 ounces of maple syrup!

The box these were in was labeled with my name and address, so it wasn't mis-delivered. Walmart goofed. I feel really awkward as that is $150 worth of food. (And I feel bad for whomever was expecting this; hopefully, it wasn't anything time-sensitive.)

Wife's reaction was priceless, though.


The box they arrived in got destroyed by the cold front rain that came through today. I am about to have a really awkward chat with their customer service bot lol.

So, the deal here re Secret Santa, is to work out a third party transfer of stuff. Have not sorted the logistics, but even tho mods are scrupulous, others can sort a work-around.

Am not interested in poaching intellectual property, but up for a Santa scam.

Follow-up on this. We ended up donating all except a few boxes and two syrups to a local food pantry. It became clear that there simply was no way we would eat this many waffles in a year (boxes expire November of 2025) and I was constantly moving them around as I simply had no place to put them!
