    BBQ Sausage rolls

My son wanted to grill something with me today. We therefore decided to make one of his favorite snacks: Sausage Rolls.

Essentially it is a good quality sausage baked in bread.

The ingredients for the bread were mixed (flour, eggs, yeast, Danish salted butter, milk, salt and sugar) and the dough was made into balls of 500 grams.

After having rested the dough was rolled out and divided.

The sausage was added and then the dough was rolled around the sausage.

Baked on my Fredstone pizza stone at 210 - 215 C for about 11 minutes.

Many like to add ketchup, fried onions etc - we like it "plain". :-)

If ya cook for the little ones then they have no idea how to when they get older. If you teach them then they never forget. Along with all the good times he had with dad. Nice job. Wish more people did. It would be a better world

I was what, in today's world, is called a "latch key kid." My mom was a teacher in a town 20+ miles away. I started learning to cook for myself around 10 years old out of semi-necessity. The best "training" of my entire 63 years.

Good stuff! One day he will remember his dad taking the time to do this and will want to pass it along to his own kids.

I’m going to shamelessly steal this idea! No, don’t try to shame me - won’t work.
