I picked sour cherries off our cherry tree today, and this pie just came out of the oven minutes ago. I used Kenji's pie dough recipe as always because it's not only very easy, but it has never failed me. I need to wait another 19 minutes before I can slice it and can hardly wait.
The cherry tree only produces enough cherries for one pie, and then only every other year, so I am lookin' for ward to this bi-annual treat big time.
