Have you ever added potatoes to your bread dough?

I haven't, but I may give it a try after watching the below video:

Good way to add softness. Mashed, dried flakes, flour. (Didn't view video)

Martin’s potato rolls are usually a best seller in the Mid Atlantic. I’m sure your results would be outstanding too.

I have a few recipes that use Potato Flour, Mashed Sweet Potatoes, and Mashed Potatoes. All recipes are very good.

I have no idea if it still exists but we once had a donut shop called Spudnuts. Supposedly they were made from potato flour. They were very good.

Not my bread dough (I don't actually make bread all that often), but it's a frequent addition to certain dumplings.

do it! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. It’s the only reason I keep instant mashed potatoes around.

Ya just reminded me... My former go to recipe for dinner rolls called for instant potatoes.

Several times. Adds moisture, and makes for a nice soft crumb. I have used potato flakes, unseasoned mashed potatoes, and potato flour.

I did for the first time making burger buns about a week ago. For six buns, there was a riced pealed russet baked potato between them. The buns were excellent and were much better than other recipes I have tried, but I'm having a hard time pinpointing exactly what the potato did.

Can't make my Potato-Dill Sandwich Bread without the potato.
