This is a cool article and the blog is one of my all time favorites, 'The HomesickTexan'... she has lots of great texas and tex-mex recipes that we use all the time. Anyway... here is a cool blog post of hers from a couple of days ago on AARON FRANKLIN'S PINTO BEANS

A big pot of creamy pinto beans fired up with lots of black pepper, ancho chile, and smoked brisket. Can serve as a side or in a bowl on its own.

Thanks smarkley! I'm going to get the beans tomorrow. The recipe is close to one I used to make, a knock-off of Ranch Style beans. I don't have any brisket so I'll substitute some pulled chuck roast that I have frozen.
