Cook beans and subsequently consume them!

Willy at my old job with the specialty market, we carried the second largest selection outside of the website. My pantry was definitely overflowing! BF is kinda sick of beans for a while. Now I want red beans and rice!

klflowers , lentils are having a moment with their low cost/high protein characteristics. There are so many good lentil recipes out there.

My fave is mulligatawny soup or lemon rasam soup, but then I really like Indian food. I make a French lentil (DePuy (green) lentils) salad with bacon which is pretty good. I think it's a Milk Street recipe (Christopher Kimball).

Mujadara is one of my favorite ways ( generally switch out bulgar for rice), but yes i can eat lentils every week.

I purchased some lentils because they are supposed to be a healthy option, but they sat in my pantry. I guess I need to find a recipe and do something with them.

fzxdoc I looked up a couple recipes for Indian soups including Lemon Rasam, which looks good, but I have to learn a whole new vocabulary. Suddenly, I turned into Gomer Pyle. "Shazam, I never heard of toor dal."😆

Shazam indeed. Once you get into Indian cooking, your spice pantry will double, But it will be worth it.

Here is a link to my Chicken Mulligatawny Soup recipe that I posted last year.

I have a bad tendency to write detailed recipes, so if you feel it's in the TLDNR category, but you want a good soup, just soldier on.

Kathryn's Chicken Mulligatawny Soup with Red Lentils This recipe is a riff from the great Madhur Jaffrey's recipe by the same name in her 1982 cookbook, Indian Cooking, pg. 172. I use the red lentils (Masoor Dal) from Rancho Gordo, but you can get them almost anywhere. Serves: 4-6 Yield: 1.25 quarts (40 oz) soup Prep time:

Thanks Kathryn. I know I saw that post, but I don’t remember it. I put it in paprika; I am going to try it in the next couple weeks. I already have most of the ingredients on hand.

Let me know how you like it, Kevin klflowers . It's one of my family's most-requested soups.

Your post is not what I thought. I thought you might be posting recipes and/or a resource.

Free shipping is a hook. So far on Amazon I choose free shipping and I don't think a few days longer in delivery matters that much.
