Hi
I have been a type I diabetic my whole life and have spent years trying to figure out ways to make sugar-free/low carb versions of my favorite sweet foods. For red BBQ sauce I would make your favorite recipe and substitute something called Sukrin Gold for the brown sugar. It is a brown sugar substitute made in Norway. I've used it in many recipes with good success (taste and consistency). It is made with erythritol, a sugar alcohol that does not cause GI upset. You can find it on Amazon.com
For the ketchup you can substitute Heinz reduced sugar ketchup. I have not found molasses to be very glycemic and wouldn't worry about it too much.Last edited by GasPasser; October 28, 2016, 03:42 PM.
