    Fave commercial Alabama White sauce?

    Hello friends,

The title says it all. What is your favorite community available Alabama white sauce for bbq poultry?
“Lane’s sorta white bbq sauce”, Big Bob Gibson’s, Duce’s Wild white gold, Neat Mitch white sauce, something else?

    Thanks in advance!

This may sound snobby, so sorry in advance. 100% make my own. Really is an easy straight forward recipe.

Alabama Smoked Chicken Quarters White BBQ Sauce:
    • 2 cups Duke’s Mayo
    • ½ cup Cider Vinegar
    • 1 TBS Course Ground Black Pepper
    • 1 TBS Granulated Garlic
    • 1 TBS Sugar
    • 1 heaping teaspoon minced Horseradish (I use the kind from a jar)
    • 1 tea Salt
    • ½ tea Ground Cayenne Pepper
    • Juice from 2 Lemons

Whisk the above ingredients in a large bowl and store in the refrigerator for a few hours before using. It makes enough sauce for 8-10 Alabama Smoked Chicken Quarters.

Huskee you know it is there but not at all in your face. The vinegar, pepper and lemon really make a fantastic blend of flavors. Could you leave it out, sure, but I do not think you would get the full benefit.

I'll put in some extra horseradish and use it on brisket.

      Posted from my phone.

Huskee The idea of the sauce here is the same with or without the horseradish, so you can easily leave it out and still make a great sauce.

I’ve only ever tried Big Bob Gibson’s so I have nothing to compare it to. I liked it.

Duke’s Mayonnaise held a contest for best use of Duke’s in a dish or sauce. The runaway winner was this one, and it is one of our household staples:

I take it out of the fridge, put it in squeeze bottles, and set it out on the table before serving so it’s not cold.

Speaking of Duke’s they make their own white sauce. Duke’s sent us 6 bottles once along with a few other items after Kathy found a bottling mistake and informed them. Pretty good.
