Rubs too. I'm coming back full circle on rubs. Instead of a rub I've been using for awhile, I just used Kosher salt and 16 mesh black pepper. Then a thin glaze with my BBQ sauce and they were really, really good.
With my macular degeneration I make a lot of typos, but get my points across anyway.
We can , and do, make our own runs and sauces, but we also enjoy some commercial versions of both. We have used u[ our Rob's Frog Sauce and we will be using Rob's Maganero (mamgo and habanero chili) Sauce on top of Meathead's Pork rub for our next batch of ribs. Rob's is a small producer out of Manteca, California.
At 85, with some old age issues, I don't fire up the Weber kettle as much as I ised to, but I still love the results as much as I ever did. Summer is coming here in the desert, and dealing with 100 degree temps also slows me down nowadays.
