I was over at Barnes and Noble in Greensboro this afternoon for my daughter’s book signing, her very first publication. Afterwards, I went to a great store in Friendly Shopping Center called The Extra Ingredient. It’s been in business for 34 years and I remember when they first opened. Lots of cool cookware, utensils, bakeware, small appliances, sauces and rubs. While perusing the aisles, I found a sauce I have never heard of before and it comes in the coolest glass container shaped like a hand grenade.
Left to right, Grunt Green, Danger Close, Shock and Awe, and Dead Red.
Wait a second. You can’t get away with “my daughter’s book signing,” without something more. Can you? Fiction or nonfiction? Genre? Make it easy, title? An inquiring Pit wants to know.
Yes, I actually searched. Got everything from Thomas Hardy poem to the dictionary definition. Several novels, but in years past, nothing new or even new-ish. So?
They have those at a local store called Second Amendment (that also carries black rifle coffee and other such things) and another place had them too but I can't remember what store, pretty sure it was also a non-chain so not really helpful of me I guess. Never bought any I suspect it's more about the bottle than the taste.
