I found this quote amusing:

“Evidence is building that there’s a form of sentience there in insects,” Jonathan Birch, a philosopher at the London School of Economics who leads the Foundations of Animal Sentience project at the university, told me last year.

Framing the failure bc of an ethical quandary is laughable, and frankly, par for the course by the same ideologues who aren’t looking reality square in the face when they insist we give up countless millennia of tradition.

Quite frankly I enjoyed eating grasshoppers while in Mexico City. I thought they tasted great. But it’s a “when in Rome” deal, not something I want to do daily.

Anyway, I thought it good news that we are giving up on forcing a square peg into a round hole.

I don’t think I’ve deliberately eaten too many insects. But the best reason to grow insects would probably be to use as bait to catch fish. Then eat the fish!
