If I may ask is your MD wet or dry. I was diagnosed about 7 months ago. This was prior to my cataract surgery on both eyes last December. It is dry and at that time there was no treatment for dry. But 6 months later it was approved by FDA. As with wet it is a series of injections in the affected eye. There is no cure. The treatment slows or stops further deteriorating eyesight. I just went back for 6 month checkup. No further advancement. Back in 6 months. When needed I'll get treatment.

Retired, living in Western Mass. Enjoy music, cooking and my family.
Current cookers Weber Spirit 3 burner with a full insert griddle added. A 22" Kettle with vortex, SnS and a Smokey Joe. The most recent addition is a Pit Barrel Jr with bird hanger, 4 hooks and cover. ThermoWorks Smoke 2 probe, DOT, 2 ThermoPops and a Thermapen MK4. A Thermoworks RFX Gateway 2 probe meat thermometer.
zinfella there is now a treatment. Like I said ,6-7 months ago it was under review by the FDA. It has been approved. Again, it isn't a cure but it could slow eyesight loss. I've attached the link. You should think about talking to what I assume is your retina specialist. That's who I see for this.
