Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

All in all, the Pit Boss 5-Series Vertical Cabinet Smoker is a good unit for this price point. It's easy to use and maintain, produces great results on a variety of meats and has ample capacity. One of the highlights of the 5-Series is its small footprint coupled with a large cooking capacity, a signature asset of the vertical smoker design. It's a great space saver for those of us with more than one smoker or grill in their stable
I've always been curious what exactly Pit Boss did to let them extend the warranties in terms of quality improvements. Do you guys have any insights? Clearly, they must have made some improvements as the warranty looks very lengthy.
It seems to be a move to be competitive. The manual that came with the unit we received stated the warranty was one year. Yet at their website, they state it is five years. I confirmed with Pit Boss that our test model must have been made before the warranty change, yet they will honor the new warranty on older models purchased after 9/3/2018.
Max Good- that is a good move on their part. That's so much better than some manufacturers who do not support their products at all and don't fix lemons when they're brand new.
