Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. FireMan - I'll probably stick with hoovarmin cause I'm lazy and I am, after all, The Hoovarmin. The Mrs. told me to assure you that her intro is forthcoming. You won't be disappointed cause she's awesome.
Very nice. I love my kettle insert. Although it's not a quick process to use. First you build a fire like you would in a fire pit. So it's best if you plan to be there hanging out, and taking advantage of that. The fall is a good season for the Arteflame.
I would say that if I could redesign my insert I would make its diameter larger than the grill so that it overhung by about an inch. You would probably need to have some welded pieces that would land on the grill support inside the Weber. That way you wouldn't have to have the lip to deal with, and it would be a little more like the high end models.
I plan on moving my grill out into the middle of the yard on one of these nice fall days and having an Arteflame party.
I wish I could tell you! It's heading with me to the Jack for doing fajita veggies and simple searing. Taking two kettles, one for this and other for SnS.
Hold on. Just think about your home town / city hosting the Olympics. Do you know how many millions of dollars they spend on the opening ceremonies !?! YOU could be the toast of the town after donating your Arteflame Classic to be the Olympic Flame! I don't have a place for this in my yard. Only in my dreams. I also am not related to this company in any way.
