Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

The Smokenator Hovergrill grate is hard to find and some are selling it for around $53-55 and is sold out at most places including Amazon. I was going to look into just adding 4 bolts with washers and possible flat stock to either my Jumbo Joe (18") or one of my PBC grates to raise up the rack about 4-6 inches. I'll let you know how it goes.
JimLinebarger I just received an email from Krysta at KettlePizza and the hovergrills are still on backorder, but they expect a shipment on Monday. I will keep you posted as I get updates.

I just used this method last night on a pulled pork w/homemade BBQ sauce and it was great. I got temps upwards of 800 deg. Had a timer to check on the pizza after 8 minutes, had to sneak a peak at 5 minutes and glad I did. It was cooking faster than expected and I burned some of the crust. I used 3 fire bricks for stability but really didn't need the extra. Added some small oak chunks for some flavor and fire. Used the BBQ Dragon to stoke the coals and speed up the heating process. We used a whole wheat crust so it had some texture. Yes, you do not need the fancy gadgets to get good pizza on the kettle.
Well the Hovergrill came today at $31.90 and I can't do a damn thing with it, I have been evacuated out of my house since 1 am Monday morning and living in my hanger with SWMBO, almost 1/2 of people that I know have lost everything to the raging fires here in Santa Rosa. I can see from out my back door the fires getting closer to the house but so far so good. At least we managed to get some clothes and the Harley out later Monday morning, now that the fires are closer there is no going back to the neighborhood. They say that maybe if things don't get any worse and the wind dies down we might be able to go back after the weekend. The devastation here is incredible, whole neighborhoods gone, fire station burnt to the ground.
Brewmaster thanks for the reminder. Mine showed up on the front porch last Friday. My wife and I had the afternoon off running errands and when we pulled in the driveway I turned to her asked if she had ordered a pizza. Once I picked up the box I realized it was the Hovergrill. I wish I would have canceled my order when Krysta from Kettlepizza gave me the chance. My costs came to $46.96 ($39.95 + $7 shipping). Now I have figure out when I'm going to use it.
