Weber Kettle Smart Ring, by Dave Joachim

You no longer need to manually adjust the airflow to help maintain a steady temperature in your trusty Weber kettle. Sure, there were a few third-party gizmos you could buy before. But now, Weber has its own: The Weber Kettle Smart Ring allows you to set a grill temp, add coals and firestarter, then monitor the entire cook from your phone or smart device. Weber dubs the Smart Ring a “Temperature Control Insert for 22″ Weber kettles.

Great review and even went to the beta testing thread for information! Thanks for posting!

Looks like a good solution for those with an unmodified Weber kettle and no other outdoor grilling/smoking equipment. Theoretically, it would also work with an unmodified 22” Weber Smokey Mountain.
