YETI Rambler Pour-Over Coffee Maker, by Bill McGrath

    LINK: https://amazingribs.com/ratings_revi...ew-and-rating/

The designers of this product gave it some serious testing to maximize the coffee flow without spilling any on your shoes. This tool will help the morning get started since works with various types of YETI drinkware to make single-cup servings of coffee, but it would work fine with other manufacturer’s cups and I suppose you could use it to make tea as well. It’s basically a funnel that holds a #2 conical coffee filter attached to a skirt that rests on the top lip of the cup.

YETI Trailhead Camp Chair Review, by Bill McGrath

    LINK: https://amazingribs.com/ratings_revi...ew-and-rating/

The Yeti Trailhead Camp Chair is a well-made product that opens and closes easily, providing a rugged and comfortable seat. It includes an ambidextrous drink cup that can be placed on either side, and a zip-up carry bag with backpack straps. The chair is rated for 500 pounds (226 kg) and itself weighs 13.3 pounds (6 kg). You can choose between navy or charcoal colors. The seat material breathes well and is claimed to be UV-resistant so the color won’t fade. It’s a large chair as far as outdoor chairs go, so it should accommodate larger campers’ posteriors.

YETI Rambler 14-Ounce Stackable Mug, by Bill McGrath

    LINK: https://amazingribs.com/ratings_reviews/yeti-rambler-14-ounce-stackable-mug-review-and-rating/

YETI drinkware isn’t cheap, but it’s not higher than other quality products of this type. I’ve been using their cups for a few years and never had a problem with any of them. I recommend YETI Rambler Mugs. You can get capacities ranging from 10 ounce (295ml) to 30 ounce (887ml) and in a dozen different colors. The 10- and 14-ounce mugs are short and stackable, and they work with YETI's pour-over coffee maker.

YETI Roadie 24 Hard Cooler, by Bill McGrath

    LINK: https://amazingribs.com/ratings_revi...ew-and-rating/

Not cheap by any means, but YETI is in another class altogether. The walls are thicker; the hinges more substantial, and the latches more rugged. 5 year warranty. You can leave this to your kids. But are they worth about 5x the cost of similar sized Coleman coolers? You be the judge. Bill reviewed the mid-sized 24 which holds 33 cans, or 26 pounds of ice, and is tall enough to stand up 2 typical sized wine bottles or 2-liter soda bottles.

    Get ya some YETI!!!!!

I gotta say, I’m a big YETI fan…there stuff is great, AND they stand behind their products more than the other cooler companies that I’ve tried. I’ve had a few YETI soft side coolers that failed at the zipper and YETI replaced them with new models. No questions asked.

So YETI is what I buy now and they work great for the boat. Have a few different models, wanted to get the 24 Roadie that is reviewed here for the boat earlier this year, but the size just didn’t work for where I wanted to store it on the boat, so went with the soft side Hopper Flip 18. It’s another great cooler. The Hopper Totes are great as well, with the change to a strong magnetic close and buckles to keep it locked in. And then our big Tundra 45.

    Thanks for sharing these reviews!

Great reviews! Some people complain about their coolers not keeping ice as long as they’d like. Pro tip: Bring your cooler inside the day before you use it, if it’s in your hot garage. Brings the temperature of the cooler down before adding your ice. If possible, put only cold cans or bottles in the cooler before adding the ice. Room temperature or warmer, drinks will melt the ice faster. I’ve been known to NOT do this before myself and it does make a difference! Use twice as much ice as product when possible.

Yep..good tip PJ. I precool my coolers with ice packs, especially for days on the boat. Wake up in the morning and throw one or two in, then a few hours later I pack drinks with ice. That allows for a weekend worth of cold ice that I will drain if needed and top off with a little more on second day.

Comfy on the bum? What about sitting after 9 hours listening to FireMan 's stories around a campfire??

Hmmm. Cant say I have sat for 9 hrs. Listening to FireMan is that the equivalent of watching grass grow? It is a very comfortable chair!!

Our family business sells Yeti and Grizzly products, you could say we are a fan as well.

Huskee unfortunately Yeti puts in their contract with retailers a minimum price on their products now. That is why so many smaller distributors backed away from them. They are still rock solid and have an ironclad warranty though.

Personally I own no YETI products, but I do have a couple RTIC ones, which I think are as good...but I freely admit often that I don't know what I don't know. Anyone have RTIC & YETI both, can you say if they're apples to apples or no?

Huskee, I have an RTIC 33 qt. cooler and love it. It’s built like a tank…solid quality! I don’t have a Yeti but from everything I read about RTIC, they’re almost as good and much cheaper. Some people think they’re just as good as Yeti.

I have had soft sided RTIC coolers, and they were fine, perhaps not quite as good as YETI soft side. But a seem failure and a zipper failure on another and RTIC wouldn’t do anything about either of them. So that’s when I went strictly Yeti. One of my yeti soft sided coolers was older, they stopped making it. They still replaced it with a brand new model.

      150% agree!

I used to always set my cooler in my chest freezer a day or six before my trip. I would add that if you do not have a chest freezer, or don't have room in yours, you can one-up the move-inside-from-the-garage thing and fill it with cold water from your bathtub to drop it another 20-30 degrees over room temp a few hours before loading it. (Opposite idea- fill it with hot water in the tub before using it as a faux cambro for holding pork butts/chuck roasts). I no longer have a chest freezer, it failed me and now I have an upright, which I greatly prefer, but I miss the insert cooler thing. Cold water helps though!

Keep a few gallon jugs of water frozen to do this. Drop in the cooler close the lid and let it prechill.

I love the Yeti chair. Being a large American, I have taken out my fear share of lawn chairs, plastic chairs and any lawn furniture you can imagine. I got the first ten Yeti chair in 2018 and it has held up to constant abuse. I love that thing. Yeah, it was $300, but it has be well worth it. It's nice and wide, has a cup holder that allows you to carry the folded chair AND your rambler. It's comfy and it's held up to my 300+ pounds for 8 years now.

I love Yeti. They make great products. I have a large RTIC cooler and a few large Yeits. The RTIC is good too, the lid doesn't close tight anymore (something with the hinge) and the body is cracked at the bottom. All my Yeit coolers are still in great shape after years and years of camping and cross country trips in the truck and trailer. The large RTIC still holds ice really well, but I'd say Yeti is better, in my experience.

8 years worth on that chair…most of those $20 chairs last a season when they are used quite a bit. Me says good investment there for your large American frame!

100%. The anxiety I DON"T feel when sitting down is worth it. LOL

When it comes to normal folding chairs, I usually have to slow sit.....hope it holds and then not move at all. It makes me feel like I am sitting a a chair made out of tooth picks in a HS physics class. LOL barelfly

Same experience, I bought the yeti chair*, similar in design to the Hondo beach chair many years ago. It was expensive but I weighed a lot and destroyed many cheap-o’s over the years. Best $300 I ever spent, that thing lasts with all the abuse my large rump puts on it.

*I don’t think they sell the version of my chair anymore.
