Traeger Woodridge Pro, by Max Good

Traeger introduces Woodridge; a new 4-tier lineup of pellet smokers with premium features at modest prices. Traeger may have found a sweet spot with this balance of price, quality, and features.

I really like my Woodridge Pro. Only negative is the ambient temperature probe isn’t accurate. I believe this review overstates the accuracy of the included Traeger probes.

Please clarify what you mean by "ambient temperature probe".

Just a couple of random thoughts...

Is it consistently off? Can you count on it to be x° off of the actual temperature?

Does the controller allow you to offset the temperature displayed to match the actual temperature at the grate?

My LSG pooper is -15° once it is warmed up. I can adjust for that in the controller but choose to use a grate mounted probe as the temperature control instead.

For reference, LSG uses the Fireboard controller.

Traeger's calls it "RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector)" the grill's built-in thermometer. On right side of the cooking chamber.

Many manufacturers use a similar probe mounted over to the side. And throughout their R&D process they use many temperature probes on the cooking surface which they correlate all of into a single average; that single temp probe is supposed to relay the average of the entire cooking surface. Therefore if you have a grate-level probe or two somewhere, it'll probably read different than what that on-board one does because it's designed to show said average.

If we're talking about accuracy of set temps on the controller, WiFIRE was essentially accurate in the low to mid range, but set to max temp of 500°F, it couldn't get past 480°F on a day with ambient temp of about 72°F.
