The tub is an excellent tool. I use it often. The blanket is good, but I found it difficult to clean.

I have a tub like that. Love that thing. Wife gave me a blanket type thing too. Some briskets I do are slightly too big for the bag, but it works well.

I have both. The tubs are useful but the large one is too big for our double sink, so cleaning is a chore. Best use is for pork butt for us. Love the blankets. Used it yesterday to transport a sweet potato casserole we cooked for our neighbor with the broken oven (that's a whole other story). The blankets have worked great for racks of baby backs wrapped in paper.

I got one of those tubs a few months back and it had a tear in the silicon. I was wanting to use it to brine a corned beef but it leaked a bit. They did replace it for another and I haven't had any issues with that one yet. They are great to use to season up pork butts or something like that. Definitely keeps the mess contained and not all over the counter.

These are one of those things that aren't a necessity at all but are nice to have around when needed.

These tubs are on my short list. I really think they look to be very useful.

I have both. The tubs are incredibly useful, all three sizes. They are not just bbq specifically useful; you can chop vegetables for soup on the board, then raise the sides and cover and hold them for later, or do the same for salads, or potato salad etc.. They are boards, and tubs, that store in small places.

The blanket I find less useful, or, more specifically, less “worth it”. Insulated bags are pretty common now. I currently have the San Marcos insulated bag we got for the 04/24 MeatUp, 4 free insulated backpacks given away by different casinos, and half a dozen or more free Creekstone/SRF/ClickAkaushi insulated bags, and a couple free insulated swag bags from vendors from when I was working. This one isn’t any more special than any of those; it’s about equal to what Creekstone is sending free with every shipment now, IMO. It works, but it isn’t special.

I'm a bit leery. They have the three pack on Black Friday sale for $110, not cheap, but for all the envisioned potential uses not crazy either. My concern is a percentage of the feedbacks, Joe's above included, complain of splits in the folds. Hard to judge specifically but could be in the 5-10% range over time. The company claims a 90 day warrantee period which doesn't instill confidence for a "wear and tear" potential issue. I doubt I'd get enough use out of all three containers within a 3 month period to justify the cost if a failure occurred shortly after warrantee expiration. YMMV

I’m at almost exactly a year in with mine. I don’t use them daily, but I use them monthly, mostly because I’m just making fewer large meals. But I use them for large meals, regardless of whether those are indoor or outdoor.

Life was good before them, and life is good after them, too. So they fall well outside of “OMG GOTTA HAVE” and pretty squarely inside of “Now this is a pretty damn good solution for a problem that I really don’t have.” You know what I mean; if I forget to use them, everything tastes the same. But also, they definitely help.

The trade off I experienced is that they simplify prep at the expense of complicating cleanup. I consider them hand-wash items. The two smaller ones fit in the sink, but the largest one does not, and has to be hosed off, so I’ve only used it twice, outdoors, for full spares. But prep of full spares is messy, and the tubs help contain the trimmings and membrane etc..

A good alternate solution would be those large disposable cutting board sheets, available many places for around $1.50 per, $45 for a pack of 30. The additional cost of the disposable item is offset by the ease of cleanup; just fold them up and toss them.

I agree with the Gold rating for the DripEz Tubs. I disagree with the Gold rating for the RestEz Blanket; not only are similar items available all over the place for far less money (an Amazon search says generally $10-$20), but many similarly functional items are available for free.

Edited to add: These were part of my 2024 Secret Santa gift. I am absolutely delighted to have them. No small part of my pleasure is that I am reminded of The Pit, the community, and the SS gift exchange every time I use them. But that has no bearing on their actual utility; if they weren’t useful, I wouldn’t force usage of them.
